It has been a very busy and successful 2023 here at GRM, and we thought it would be interesting and somewhat festive to look back at some of our headline facts and figures from the year.
In keeping with a ’12 Days of Christmas’ theme, each day from now until Friday 22nd December we will be revealing a different GRM fact from an area of our business during 2023. So here goes:
- On the 1st day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 1622 trial pits dug by our geotechnical and engineering teams.
- On the 2nd day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 2018 house foundation designs from our design team.
- On the 3rd day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 3110 geotechnical samples (including 832 Plasticity Indices and 461 Water Soluble Sulphates and pH).
- On the 4th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 46,000 on-site photographs taken from hundreds of client projects.
- On the 5th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 5 trained mental health first aiders within the GRM Team (and here is the feature we ran about this back in May: Mental Health Awareness in the workplace lasts longer than just this week)
- On the 6th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 61,897 hours worked by the GRM technical teams so far this year.
- On the 7th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 72 miles as the average distance from our HQ in Burton on Trent to client sites (1.2 miles was the closest and 320 miles the furthest away!).
- On the 8th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 826 validation samples tested.
- On the 9th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 924 window sample holes drilled.
- On the 10th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 10,007 metres total depth of exploratory holes completed by GRM staff and contractors.
- On the 11th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… 118 soakaway pits dug by GRM staff.
- On the 12th day of Christmas GRM gave to you… over 12000 kw/hr of electricity generated by GRMs solar panels and fed back into the grid.
