Phase II site investigations typically involve the use of intrusive methods such as trial pits, window sampling, cable percussive and rotary boreholes.

These techniques are designed to determine the exact ground conditions and enable foundation solutions and any remedial requirements to be assessed.

The results of the intrusive investigation allied to laboratory testing and typically gas and water level monitoring provide actual data required to prepare a full interpretive site investigation report. As part of this process, the Phase I conceptual model is refined, and the most cost-effective development solutions are outlined.
