Egg-cellent Weather Proves to be the Perfect Tonic for Easter Overindulgences!

Our GRM team has returned to work this week with several clearly suffering from an overindulgence of Easter chocolate! However, the forecast of a spell of dry and warm weather has given them a noticeable spring in their step as they embark on a busy few weeks of field-based work on a wide range of client projects, including:

  • Working on trial pits, window sampling and soakage testing at a school in the Greater Birmingham area (even though it is school holidays, all our engineers are DBS checked as we regularly work on school sites including during term-time).
  • Earthworks supervision including foundations for a Tobermore retaining wall inspection in Staffordshire, vibrating wire piezometer and magnet extensometer monitoring on a project near Manchester, and ongoing site visits and testing to check compliance with the earthworks specification produced for a site in Northamptonshire (site levels being raised to facilitate residential development).
  • Phase II site investigations for residential development in Amber Valley.
  • Trial pits and soakage testing in Staffordshire.
  • Ongoing gas and groundwater level monitoring on multiple sites including Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire.
  • Groundwater sampling at multiple sites to inform the development requirements, foundation inspections and supervised dig and pours.
  • Meeting with a client in Blackpool about a Materials Management Plan for their development site (re-use on site of origin).
