On Friday 18th October 2024, the GRM team came together for Wear it Pink Day, supporting Breast Cancer Awareness, Research, and Support. This year’s event had a fun twist—participants were encouraged to either wear something pink or rock a music band-themed outfit. The day was packed with activities, from a lively tombola to the ever-popular “guess the number of sweets in a jar”, along with a blind card game and the highly anticipated Wear it Pink Music Quiz.
This year’s event was made even more memorable with a surprise visit from none other than Ginger Spice (aka Dave Spencer)! As if that wasn’t amazing enough, ‘she’ even gave an insightful talk on Earthworks Supervision, making this Wear it Pink Day both fun and educational.
Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and generous contributions, we successfully raised £300 for breast cancer research and support services. It was a heart-warming and vibrant day, reminding us all of the importance of coming together for a good cause.
Winners on the day were: Best Costume – Dave Spencer (Ginger Spice), Quiz Winner – Dawn, Blind Card – Mick with Matt, Ian, Su, Dave, Charlotte and Paige winners of the guess the number of sweets in the jars.
We haven’t named all the tombola winners, as we might be here until next year!
