The team at GRM need little encouragement to dress-up for a charitable cause, and our annual Christmas Jumper Day once again showcased the full spectrum of effort and ‘taste’!
It is traditional for the directors to review all the efforts and select an overall Champion, but in an unforeseen twist they decided to break with tradition and make the award for the ‘Worst Christmas Jumper’!
The judging criteria for this new variant award included the cost of the jumper, its design, quality of materials, and likelihood to burst into flames on contact with a naked flame. There was a clear winner, so congratulations to Andy Brown who is seen here proudly displaying his winning entry. And just to reassure everyone, there was a safety officer in close proximity at all times with a fire extinguisher primed and ready for use!
Our Christmas Jumper Day also marks the end of our annual charity fund raising efforts. The total this year is over £3000, which will go to a range of causes both local and national. Some of our events and causes this year have included:
- Burton Amateur Swimming Club – Bridge to Bridge Swimming Event
- Melbourne RFC
- Youth Adventure Trust
- MS Society
- Ramm Sanderson Charity Golf Day (Dementia UK)
- Davidsons Developments Awards Evening (Glenfield Hospital Heart Unit)
- Breast Cancer Wear it Pink
- Testicular Cancer UK
Finally, we would like to wish all our clients, partners, suppliers and colleagues a very happy Christmas and best wishes for 2025. Our last day in the office is Friday 20th December and we re-open bright-eyed and bushy tailed on Thursday 2nd January! See you all in the New Year!
